Laetitia In Holocaust is rotten light.
It was born in Modena, Italy, in the winter of 2001 due to the will of S. and N.
Both have ever composed and performed LIH’s music and lyrcs, except for the recording of the vocals, assigned exclusively to S.
Musically LIH moved her first steps taking ispiration from the early Norwegian black metal scene, and then tried to gain an expressive form suited to grant a whole realization of the project’s purposes.
In 2002 has been published our first demo entitled “Blood On Humanity”, followed in 2003 by “A Slow Apocalypse” and in 2005 by the EP “Lacra Ebenei:13-17”.
In 2009 we showed our first official full-length called “The Tortoise Boat”.
With its exclusive use of guitars without distortion (this is NOT black metal, BUT Rotten Light) and its use of atonal and free formulas in the compositive process, it oustand in our production thanks to the definitive finding of an expressive form which perfectly embody our creative intentions.
“The Tortoise Boat” is an Abomination, a renewed disturbance from the Other World. Black metal is no longer able to reach this objective.
What is going to be found listening to the album is a prayer for the extinction of every form of life, of the Earth and for being, at the end, part and eyes of the oceans and locusts which, descending from the skies, will devour everything and themselves.

Laetitia In Holocaust è Rotten Light.
Nasce a Modena, Italia, nell’inverno del 2001 per volontà di S. e di N.
Entrambi hanno sempre curato musica e testi in ogni loro parte, ad eccezione della registrazione delle voci di cui si è sempre occupato S.
Musicalmente LIH si è mossa inizialmente ispirandosi completamente al black metal di stampo norvegese, per poi cercare una forma espressiva che permettesse un compiersi effettivo degli scopi del progetto.
Nel 2002 è stato pubblicato il primo demo intitolato “Blood On Humanity” seguito nel 2003 da “A Slow Apocalypse” e nel 2005 dall’EP “Lacra Ebenei: 13-17”.
Nel 2009 vede la luce “The Tortoise Boat”, il primo full-length ufficiale.
Esso, con l’utilizzo quasi esclusivo di chitarre prive di distorsione (NON è black metal, MA Rotten Light) e con formule compositive libere, dissonanti e a volte atonali, si pone come l’avvenuto ritrovamento di una forma espressiva che realizzi pienamente il nostro messaggio.
“The Tortoise Boat” è un Abominio, un rinnovato disturbo dall’Altro Mondo. Il black metal non era più sufficiente a questo scopo.
Quello che si troverà nell’ascolto è una preghiera per l’estinzione di ogni forma di vita sulla terra, della terra stessa, e per essere infine parte e occhi degli oceani e delle locuste che, scendendo dal cielo, divoreranno ogni cosa e se stessi
